Hello! My name is Anthony ☺

I am a 24 year old college student living in New York City. I'm a Taurus, vegetarian, avid thrift shopper, and my favorite color is yellow.
I began embroidering in 2015 when I was looking for new hobbies. I taught myself by watching a few videos and lots of trial and error. Quickly, I fell in love with the craft and started selling these handmade pieces about 6 months after learning.
Stitchings by Anthony as a business officially began when I opened an Etsy shop in January of 2016. Since then, I have embroidered over 230 one of a kind items for people across the world. My most popular item is the custom embroidery hoop, but I have also created things like embroidered keychains, shirts, pins, a backpack and even a graduation cap!
From the beginning, I wanted to help embroidery stay alive in the contemporary art movement while keeping it affordable to the consumer. Each piece takes hours of work, but I believe making embroidery art accessible is important in keeping it alive in the 21st century.
One of the most important parts about my embroidery is that I see it as a way to speak up about injustices in the world. Over the years I have held different campaigns to donate money to causes and organizations I am passionate about. Since 2017, we have raised almost $500 in donations to an abundance of organizations, including Planned Parenthood, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, The Trevor Project, Hispanic Federation, and The Ali Forney Center. Giving back through my art is something I'm proud to do.
I hope you learned a little bit about me and my art through this, thank you for reading ♡
